I love this designer, Yumi Kim, and right now she is having a special family and friends event until July 15th where her entire spring/summer collection is 50% off!!! This seemed like it was too good to pass up, so I unfortunately lacked some self-control and ended up buying 2 dresses...

My fiance will probably get mad because I bought more clothes. I don't know why, but I'm such a sucker for shopping and sales. I have items hanging in my closet that I've only worn a few times and some that even have the tags still on them. So my fiance doesn't like it when I keep buying more things, but my justification for buying these 2 dresses is that they were both 50% off, and I'm sticking to it! Plus we have weddings to attend, and I could totally wear these dresses!

Just one shoulder

One of the hot trends right now are the one shoulder dresses like these:

It looks so Grecian and amazingly hot. Plus it doesn't matter if you're 20-years-old or 40-years-old. It looks great on women of all different ages.

And now there are even swimsuits with this style. Sexy! And just in time for summer!

A little color doesn't hurt

So lately, I've been noticing more and more girls wearing neutral colored dresses like black and adding a pop of color by wearing bright colored shoes or carrying a bright clutch because sometimes it can look a little dull wearing a black dress and black shoes. I know this trend has been around for a while, but I'm noticing it more and more and am liking it more and more. I just love the splash of color without being overdone. Here's what I think doesn't work....


There's too much going on with the bright dresses and the bright shoes. It's important to be careful you don't have too many different colors. Your outfit should be balanced.

So ladies, work the LBDs and the hot shoes and clutches this summer, but make sure you don't go overboard with the colors!
